Yu-ri is made queen despite her objections that she is in love with another man, Kang Yang, not the king. In time the king dies and his brother becomes regent until the prince is old enough to take the throne. The regent's wife plots to kill the prince. Yu-ri summons Kim Yang to the court in order to protect her son.
